As a current Georgetown University Law Center student, when do I have access to databases through Single Sign-On (SSO) or proxy service?
Answer
You have access to the Law Library's licensed databases and electronic resources when you have enrolled in Georgetown Law classes and your information has been provided to us from the Georgetown Law Office of the Registrar. If you are currently enrolled in a Georgetown Law class and presented with a message such as "Your library patron account is not authorized to access licensed resources" when you try to sign-on (using your Georgetown University NetID and Password), then please contact Law Library Access Services at lawcirc@georgetown.edu through your Georgetown email account.
For questions regarding electronic resources that are accessed outside of our SSO and through individually assigned accounts, such as Westlaw, Lexis and Bloomberg Law, please contact Law Library Reference Services at lawlibref@georgetown.edu through your Georgetown email account.
If you are a currently enrolled Georgetown Law student and are having difficulties in accessing a specific database after you sign-on with your Georgetown NetID and Password, then please review the Law Library's Troubleshooting Database Connection Problems page.
If you graduated from Georgetown Law, please check the Law Library's Alumni Resources guide for resources and services available to you.
All non-law Georgetown University Capitol Campus members receive their library privileges and database access through their home libraries, either main campus Lauinger Library or Dahlgren Memorial (Medical) Library. Check the related "I am a non-law Georgetown University member. What library privileges do I have at Capitol Campus?" FAQ for contact information.
