Access to the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library building is provided to Georgetown University Law Center students. See Who May Use the Law Library for more information.

Other Georgetown University students (graduate and undergraduate) must complete this form to request access. Only current Georgetown University students who need access to the Law Library’s collection for legal research will be permitted entry. 

Please be advised that some electronic resources, including Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg Law, are restricted to current Georgetown Law students only, and study spaces in the Law Library building are available to Georgetown Law students only. Please consider instead visiting McDonough Hall, which is open to all Georgetown University students using the visitor entrances and include study spaces, student printers, and on-campus access to most of the Law Library’s electronic databases.

You must submit your request at least 3 business days prior to your need for access to the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library building. We cannot accommodate same day requests, and access may be restricted during exam periods.
