As a Georgetown Law Student, I am not receiving a Law Library Study Space reservation confirmation email. What is happening?

Answer

The Georgetown Law Library’s Study Space Booking System will send a reservation confirmation email to your Georgetown email address when a booking is submitted. The confirmation email will contain the booking location, time period, and a link to cancel your reservation, if needed.

The university's Mimecast email security service may divert such notifications into your Georgetown MySpamPortal account. Depending on settings, the Mimecast Spam Digest notifications (sent from mimecast.digest@georgetown.edu) which alerts you about any held messages may be delayed. You will not see the diverted message in your Georgetown Gmail Spam Folder.

How to Prevent Study Room Reservation Confirmation Emails from Going to Mimecast:

1. Navigate to your Georgetown University Mimecast or MySPAMPortal account.

2. Login with your Georgetown email address.

3. In your Mimecast account, locate the message that is being held, "Law Library Booking Confirmation" from "Calendar" (@mail.libcal.com), and click to open.

4. To permanently permit messages from the Law Library Study Space Booking System (@mail.libcal.com), click the "Permit" (thumbs up) icon and select "Release Message and Permit Domain."

5. Confirm that the "Law Library Booking Confirmation" message from "Calendar" (@mail.libcal.com) now appears in your Georgetown Gmail Inbox.
