The librarians at the Georgetown University Law Library are available to discuss research strategies and resources for law students writing papers or journal notes/comments. Law students are also welcome to request a research consultation for a legal research refresher (e.g., in preparation for the first-year legal research and writing exam, summer work, graduation). This service is available only to Georgetown Law students.

Consultations are generally scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For students who cannot schedule a consultation during these times, we are happy to make special arrangements if you let us know. Please indicate the need for these accommodations in your request. Consultations usually last 30 minutes to one hour. If you do not receive a confirmation email to schedule a meeting within two business days of submitting your request, please contact us at lawlibref@georgetown.edu.

If your question involves international or foreign topics, use our Foreign & International Law Form.

Need help right away? Librarians are available at the Reference Desk in the Atrium of the Law Library or via Chat With a Librarian during reference hours.
