Q. Where can I find the Law Library's collection of state statutes?

Answer

Our print state statutes are housed on our first floor (see "State Collection" on our map). In our catalog, these items' location is labeled as State 1st Floor. We currently update the following state statutes in print: District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, California, Delaware, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.

The updated codes of the other states are held by either Washington College of Law (Am. U.) or George Washington University Law Libraries. Please see our individual state legal research guides to determine which library has current print statutes. The research guides will also point to digital versions of state statutes that are accessible by our library patrons.
